VedThenics
Movement, given a philosophy.
A philosophy-first calisthenics practice OS for iPhone.
Why it exists
Most fitness apps ask how many calories you burned. VedThenics asks whether you completed today's practice. Ancient Indian thought often treated body, mind, nourishment and character as connected — VedThenics applies that holistic idea to modern calisthenics, as one intentional routine rather than another workout tracker chasing streaks and dopamine.
What it feels like
Calm, not naggy. A daily practice, not a scoreboard. Progress is earned honestly — no streak freezes, no pay-to-protect, nothing gamified into anxiety. Insights stay on-device; nothing leaves the phone for analytics. Free, with no accounts, no ads and no in-app purchases. Apple Health is optional and never blocks core practice.
How it works
The week is organized around Workout, Recovery & Mobility, Stretch, and Run Day, built on four pillars — Sharira (Body): strength, skills, mobility and running, with optional Apple Health import. Manas (Mind): short mindfulness and breathing. Ahara (Nourishment): simple reminders of nutritional philosophy, no calorie counting. Dharma (Character): twelve rotating reflection prompts, answer or skip. Practice is logged set by set, skills progress through staged self-assessment — reflection is always optional, never required.
